Supported Languages and Frameworks (30+)

Flyway supports Node.js, Python, PHP, Ruby, Go, Rust and 30+ languages out of the box (Zero-Config). Plus, bring your own Dockerfile to run absolutely anything.

"Does it support my stack?" The answer is almost certainly "Yes". Flyway's smart code detection engine recognizes 95% of the market's popular programming languages and frameworks instantly, requiring absolutely zero configuration from your end.

What is Zero-Config?

As long as you have a package.json, requirements.txt, composer.json, go.mod, or Cargo.toml in your repo, Flyway will scan your project, provision the correct runtime environment (Node, Python, Go etc.), download the packages, and execute the exact right start command automatically. No server configuration required.

🐳 Bring Your Own Dockerfile

If you need a highly custom runtime, specific OS packages, or a language not listed above, simply place a Dockerfile at the root of your project.

The moment Flyway detects a Dockerfile, it bypasses the Zero-Config engine and builds your project strictly according to your Docker instructions. This guarantees that absolutely any language, framework, or technology stack that can run inside a container will run flawlessly on Flyway.
